John Shea is a teacher at Immaculate Conception School, where he has taught ELA and Social Studies for five years. Prior to that, he taught at Rice High School in Harlem, for 17 years, before its closing. He is a coach, a writer, and most importantly, a parent of two beautiful children, Patrick and Caragh Shea.
Shea’s book, CUT AND RUN IN THE BRONX, was published in 2012 by 7Towers Publishing, out of Dublin. It was successful both commercially and critically. He continues to work on a collection of short stories that he aims to put out in 2017. He is happy to be working with The Creative Writing Club in order to spread the joys of the creative writing process and its rewards.
